About

Janessa Philemon-Kerp

travel. vegan food. exploring. nature. cities. cats. cava.

Originally from Oregon, I produce events for a living and live part of the year abroad, with a slight obsessive focus on Europe, and part of the year home in Portland. Currently location-independent, I practice slow travel because I enjoy the slower pace and the opportunity to connect with local culture and people (and cats).

My ideal time off involves exploring city streets, long hikes in nature, happy hour, tucking into a good novel, and eating ridiculous amounts of vegan food.  I believe that we are all just walking each other home, and practice contributing what I can to leave a positive impact on this world.

On Janessa Goes There I share stories, photos, thoughts and personal essays from my life which includes urban exploration, outdoor wilderness adventures, vegan finds, and scenes from the various cities I live in & visit.
